Yuchi Shen is an architectural researcher at Southeast University working across computational design, structural form-finding, and building performance. His work translates rigorous algorithms into practical tools for early-stage design decisions.
He received his PhD in Architecture from Southeast University and completed joint doctoral training at ETH Zürich (2019–2020). Since 2022, he has continued this research as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant researcher across architecture, engineering, and computation.
His featured contributions include the Vector-based Graphic Statics (VGS) toolchain, the ADRR equilibrium solver for discrete networks, and BSim for agent-based spatial and performance simulation.
